What is the vision for these groups?
To leverage Facebook to bring together 1,000+ professionals in cities around the world to do business and impact the local community economically, politically and socially.
What if I live in a suburb of one of the cities? Can I still join?
Yes. Feel free to join the closest major city near your business (i.e. New York, Chicago, etc.). Once we reach the 1,000 member mark for your city,
there is a likelihood that we will split the group up into smaller suburbs (i.e. Top 1000 Professionals of Brooklyn, etc.) if we feel that particular area can reach 1,000 members.
What happens after a group reaches 1,000 members?
Once a group reaches 1,000 members we will begin to gather input from members through a series of brief surveys / polls. This will provide all members with an interesting
report regarding the demographics of the group (age range, professions, etc.). Then, we will begin planning our first offline networking event to try to bring people together. Many of the logistics surrounding this event and
all future ideas will be determined by the collective input of the 1,000 members.
My city already has 1,000 members. How can I join?
You can Request to join the group by clicking the 'Request to
Join' tab at the top of the group page. For most cities, we are allowing more than 1,000 members (i.e. the more the merrier). In which case, you can simply click to join the group and you will be automatically added. Once added,
you will receive all of our email notifications regarding events, etc. Additionally, you will be able to post your business information to the Group Wall.
Can I join multiple cities?
No. You need to join the
city where you feel you do the most business and/or reside. There will be an offline component to these groups that will include events, etc... For you (and everyone else) to benefit from being a part of the group, it is best that
you be there. We will remove members who attempt to join multiple groups... and you will run the risk of being banned from our groups altogether.
Can Top 1000 send an announcement or a survey to the group on my behalf?
Currently, that opportunity does not exist, however it is something we are considering.

Do you police all of the Group Pages?
Yes. We have full-time staff whose job it is to check the pages for malicious behavior (i.e. constant spamming, foul language, etc.). Also, the Group does a good job of
policing itself. We have a one-strike policy. Do something wrong, and you will be blocked (banned) from our Groups for life.
Do you offer Offline Networing Events?
Yes. Once a city
reaches 1000 members we begin scheduling after-hours mixers to help people bridge their online networking efforts into offline business!. We also price the events to be pracitical (usually less than $20). We also
offer an Annual Event Pass option that provides a significant discount throughout the year AND allows you to become a part of local Top 1000 Professional+ Groups (see question below).
What is Top 1000 Professionals+?
Top 1000 Professionals+ is an opportunity for 'power networkers' who purchase our Annual Event Pass to take part in smaller Top 1000 networking groups that meet on a more
frequent basis. Additionally, all Top 1000 Professional+ members receive automatic entrance into the larger networking mixers happening every few months. Currently the cost to become a Top 1000+ member is
